Calacatta Gold Marble imported from Carrara, Tuscany Province, Northern Italy.

The signature look of the Calacatta (Calcutta) Gold Marble is warm (tones of brown / tan) and cool (gray) colors on a white background, with "Calacatta-like" veins / variations.

Calacatta Marble is considered a higher end, designer-oriented marble. We are able to provide low pricing as we are the direct importers and distributors of this marble. We are not a re-seller, we directly source from Massa-Carrara region of Italy, where this marble is quarried from.

The 3" x 6" Subway (Brick) style of Calacatta Marble is very popular for bathroom, kitchen as well as in other parts of home such as fireplace surround. They are to be used only for indoor, not outdoor settings.

Suggestions for the best results

We suggest to purchase 10 to 15% in addition to exact square footage of your project, for what is known as tile overage or tile waste, for cuts, corner areas, etc.

Stone sealer is not a must, but we suggest to use a sealer based on below recommendations for this type of Italian Marble

Since Calacatta is a dense Italian marble, the type of sealer to use must be

- Penetrating Type (so sealer would be absorped into the stone)

- Water Based (not oil based)

- Non-Enhancing (as opposed to enhancing - so the color / shade would not change)

Beautiful Calacatta Subway Tile

As an architect and designer I know what good Calacatta tile should look like. I inquired with Mel at Budget Marble and he sent me a photo of 10 tiles of the current batch. They looked great so I took the leap after 3 years of planning and ordered my tiles. They came a day earlier than expected. The first pack I opened, I was shocked at the beauty of the tiles! They were varied with all the coloration and veining that good Calacatta is known for. I opened the second pack and the same - absolutely beautiful. I've not opened all of them yet, as I am still not ready to install them, but can say I am very satisfied with my purchase - these are the tiles dreams are made of. I will update with photos one day, when my kitchen is complete with all the tiles installed.

Outstanding Product & Customer Service

I recently ordered Calcutta gold polished 3 x 6 inch subway tiles for a kitchen remodel. The tile is beautiful and came securely packaged and boxed in perfect condition with no cracks or breakage. The delivery service neglected to deliver one of the boxes so I called Budget marble and a representative (Julia) reordered the missing tile and stayed in touch with me until it was received.
